Director of Supply Chain Planning & Procurement
We’re currently working on a confidential search with a nimble manufacturer and distributor of raw materials to various consumer goods industries. As they look to take their supply chain to the next level, they are looking to add a Director of Supply Chain Planning & Procurement to the team.
Position Description:
- Director of Supply Chain Planning & Procurement reporting to the VP of Supply Chain.
- Oversee a small team responsible for demand / supply balancing and supply chain execution / MRP in support of a multi-site operation.
- Drive improvements across forecast accuracy, service levels and weeks of supply.
- Responsible for associated process development, standardization and continuous improvement in areas like Supply Chain Optimization, Produce to Demand, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
- Cross-functional collaboration across the organization to drive supply chain projects.
- Protect the financial performance of the strategic business unit by identifying potential supply chain issues.
Background Required:
- Highly energetic individual with at least 10 years of supply chain planning and tactical procurement experience including supply planning, demand planning, MRP, etc.
- A strong business acumen with the ability to establish trust / relationships quickly.
- Experience in any manufacturing-related industry is required.
- Effective use of ERP / MRP tools such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, NetSuite, Dynamics / D365, etc.
- Strong analytical capabilities leveraging Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
- Proven track record of success in similar role.
