Our team is partnering with a rapidly growing, family-owned CPG manufacturer that’s expanding its Transportation Department and looking for a strategic leader to join their team. This is a high-impact opportunity for a transportation professional to step in, evaluate current operations, and lead cross-functional efforts to streamline shipping, reduce costs, and elevate customer satisfaction. You’ll collaborate closely with Operations and Sales to ensure shipment accuracy and drive continuous improvement across the network. Position Description:

 

  • Oversee and continuously improve transportation operations, with a focus on efficiency, cost-effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
  • Leverage Transportation Management Systems (TMS), along with tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Excel, to monitor shipments, track KPIs, and drive data-informed improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales and Operations to evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for cost savings and increased efficiency.
  • Champion continuous improvement by leading innovative transportation projects from concept to execution.
  • Assist in the negotiation, review, and management of contracts with carriers, suppliers, and logistics partners.
  • Optimize transportation processes, routing strategies, cost structures, and resource utilization to support scalable growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members while modeling and reinforcing the company’s core values

 

Background Required:

 

  • 3+ years of progressive transportation experience.
  • Experience with corporate level transportation and network optimization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel is a plus.
  • Strong self-starter with leadership experience (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
